Malia White is still working in yachting today, years after her departure from Below Deck Mediterranean. The Below Deck Med alum gave birth to her first baby, a daughter, in February 2025, and is entering a brand new chapter in her career.
The new mom recently spoke with The Daily Dish, where she revealed that she had been working as an officer prior to getting pregnant, and had continued to work until she was 24 weeks pregnant. “Obviously, right now, it’s not feasible to go back in the same position as an officer right now,” she explained. So, she has made a slight pivot while still working in yachting. “The biggest change right now is I’ve shifted to yacht brokerage, which is really exciting,” she continued.
“When we found out I was pregnant, I made that switch. And I’ve been training as a yacht broker since. And it’s been really exciting,” Malia admitted. “Because it’s a whole part of the industry that we kind of get the inside scoop with, like, having charters in the industry. But you’re not really privy to until you’re a broker.”
“It’s really cool. It’s an exciting world. So yeah. I’m really excited for the change,” she concluded.
Malia White opens up about her future as an officer in yachting
Although she has pivoted to being a broker, Malia hasn’t given up on her life as an officer. She explained to The Daily Dish that she hopes to return to the profession in the future. “I’ll still keep my tickets active,” she explained. “I will keep working as an officer one day, probably temp work like I was doing. So not a full two months on, two months off. But like, two weeks here, two weeks there, whatnot. I still have plans on getting my master’s ticket.”
Malia White admits she’s “not done” with yachting or traveling now that she’s a mom
Malia is not letting having a child stop her from yachting or exploring the world. It also helps that Malia’s partner, Robert, also works in the yachting industry. “I’m not done at sea,” she said. “You know, obviously, this baby’s being raised by two yachties who love to travel.”
“It’s probably not gonna be the most conventional, like, traditional way of raising your kids,” she added. “So that will be fun and exciting and adventurous.”

Malia White gives a look inside of her life as a mom
Malia has taken to her Instagram Story, where she gave a look inside the way that she will be raising her daughter. Throughout February 2026, she revealed that she was watching the Super Bowl very early in the morning, making protein balls, and taking her daughter for a walk with Robert.
Days later she shared a look inside of how she’s spending time indoors with her baby girl. Malia snapped a photo of her daughter clutching onto her finger and laying against her chest, while she enjoyed her boyfriend’s prepared breakfast and his delicious looking pasta dinner.
