Riley Burruss is sharing a major update on where she stands with her stepdad, Todd Tucker, today following his divorce from her mom, Kandi Burruss. The Next Gen NYC cast member witnessed The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum go through a lot amid her divorce from Todd, and is now opening up about the status of their “blended family.”
Riley appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, Aug. 5, where she revealed that her relationship with Todd is “not the same” as it was pre-divorce. “You know, the divorce shifted a lot of things in my life,” she explained. “So, it’s not only the divorce — it’s also everything else that comes with that.”
Kandi and Todd share two children — Ace Tucker and Blaze Tucker. They also entered their relationship with kids of their own, with Kandi having Riley from a previous relationship and Todd having his daughter, Kaela Tucker, from a previous relationship (whom Riley is still very close to). Riley admitted on WWHL that they are still working hard to be a unified family after the divorce.
“You know, we’re trying to still be a blended family,” she continued. “But there are some things that irk my nerves. You know, you sometimes look at his social media, and I’m like, ‘What is going on here?’ But we’re OK.”

Riley Burruss opens up about how Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s divorce impacted her
Riley had previously opened up about Kandi and Todd’s divorce during an appearance on SiriusXM’s TODAY on Sirius in July, where she admitted that it had a major impact on her life. Especially as it was happening as she was filming Next Gen NYC Season 2.
“I will say that yes, a divorce happens between two people, but it affects more than just those two people. So it is really hard for me,” she explained in a clip posted to Instagram on July 10. “I had a hard time recently, and during filming I had a hard time as well, ’cause that’s when I first learned about everything, so it’s just been a year of adapting. It’s tough at times, it’s easy at times, it’s confusing. I’m still learning, honestly.”

Riley Burruss reveals what she learned from mom Kandi Burruss’ divorce from Todd Tucker
She further admitted on the radio show that she learned so much from watching her mom go through the divorce last year. “I’ve learned from my mom that there are a lot of things that she protects in herself, how strong she is, how courageous, because of all the stuff I didn’t even know,” Riley continued. “She wants to protect me the most she can. So being able to do that for your children, I think is just a powerful thing.”
